Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Cost: $500 (for TC & TMI x 2 RPLs no GST) or $275 (per RPL no GST)
Cost: $525 (for TMD / PWZTMP no GST)
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process that assesses your competency acquired through formal and informal learning to determine if you meet the requirements for a unit of competency.
TMT can use a variety of documentation to apply for RPL. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
records of completed training and current qualifications
-
assessment items
-
assessment records
-
declarations from your employer, and/or
-
a copy of your student records provided by ASQA.
Course Description
Each provider has its own RPL process, so when you are accepted by a new provider, speak to your new provider for assistance with applying for RPL.
Recommended Target Audience
This course is for anyone wanting to utilise their existing qualifications as recognition to be applied as a credit towards a new similar and/or relevant qualification.
Enrolment
Participants will be required to complete a Credit Transfer Application to be eligible for any RPLs.
Delivery and Assessment Method
The RPL can be achieved by comparing the current qualifications with the new qualification required. Any gaps in knowledge and/or skills will need to be proven and assessed.
Course Objectives
-
To save time by using the RPL process to achieve the qualification instead of attending all training sessions and undergoing full assessments.
